Murray's
Mr. CD Murray, owner of a Barber Shop in Chicago, in 1925 founded "Murray's Superior Products Company." The principles of the company were simple – a good product and a fair price. In 1947 the pharmacist Harry Berlin from Detroit took over the company and built on the basic philosophy of the company and the product range. Harry’s son, Arthur, first witnessed a huge resurgence in the use of pomades in the 1980s which has continued to grow. After he had taken over the modern operations in Michigan - helped by his three sons, Jim, Jeff & John - Arthur Berlin summed up the firm’s continuing philosophy this way: "... most of the smaller companies are disappearing; we continue to prosper because we are focused on providing an excellent value for our customer while conducting our business with honesty and integrity."
